Play a vital role in helping safeguard our ports, waterways, and coastal communities

As a Special Constable in our Marine Unit, you’ll play a vital role in helping safeguard our ports, waterways, and protecting our coastal communities.

Your role will assist with proactive patrols along the Humber, to supporting operations in and around our docks and marinas, you’ll help keep people safe both on land and at sea.

So, what could you be doing in your spare time as a volunteer Marine Special Constable?

Undertake maritime and coastal policing duties across the Humber region

Patrol waterways, ports and estuary areas alongside trained marine officers.

Support local and national policing and partner agencies with maritime incidents

Assist in tackling marine related crime, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding incidents

You must have previous experience in the maritime environment, ideally with existing RYA / MCA qualifications relating to navigation, safety and crew operations.
